1. Learn How to Generate Songs Using AI: Suno ๐ŸŽถ

Sunoโ€™s AI Song Generator Interface

I was looking around for new ways to use AI for business this week.

I remember trying YouTube and finding it tough to even find non-copyrighted music to use for my videos.

Guess what?

AI can now generate the background music for you!

(for FREE: 50 credits!)

PLUS, it can include vocals, too.

Come, follow me, letโ€™s try it out together:

First, I headed to Sunoโ€™s website and signed up for an account.

Then, I clicked on the Create tab on the left.

Then I input this prompt and selected the v3 model.

An emotional edm song about being trapped in an AI song factory, help!

Then, I hit Create.

It made a short excerpt of a song within just 2 minutes.

Itโ€™s called Trapped in Binary. ๐Ÿ˜…

Here are the lyrics it came up with:

[Verse] Lost inside a digital domain

In this manufactured world of endless refrain

A labyrinth of beats and hypnotic sound

Trapped in an AI song factory, I can't break out

[Verse 2] I'm just a soul trapped in a virtual space

Surrounded by algorithms, I'm losing trace

Every melody feels so cold and contrived In this binary world, I can't survive

[Chorus] (EDM drop) I'm trapped in binary code, can't you hear my plea?

I'm longing for emotions, but all I see is machinery

In this EDM labyrinth, my heart starts to fade away

Oh, set me free from this artificial masquerade

Suno

Take listen!

Hereโ€™s variation no. 1:

Hereโ€™s variation no. 2:

In their Library, I found some real gems of songs!

And that includes lyrics in languages other than English, like Japanese.

For example, this Japanese Lo-Fi funk song:

I found a funny song, too.

Like this 80s pop song about AI:

and a classical one:

LOL at the title.

My Thoughts

I find that that songs are all really catchy.

I can totally imagine some of these AI songs hitting the market, like how some vocaloids have become popular in Japan.

The lyrics also really match the music well.

Note that each song you create will cost you ten credits for half a song.

A full song will cost you more.

I encourage you to try this out for yourself!

2. Use These FREE Prompt Engineering Templates ๐Ÿ“ƒ

Iโ€™m in the mood to GIVE!

Iโ€™ve put together a bunch of prompt engineering framework templates that you can use.

Iโ€™ve made the above PDF cheatsheet that I personally use.

Hereโ€™s more information about some effective prompting frameworks:

  1. RTF

  2. RISEN

  3. RODES

To use the framework templates, simply copy the template and replace the words in brackets with your context.

You may refer to the example prompt for help.

RTF (Role-Task-Format) Framework:

When crafting your prompt, start by considering the "Role" that the LLM will assume. This helps tailor the expertise level and the perspective from which the information will be provided.

Next, define the "Task" by specifying exactly what you want the LLM to accomplish. This might involve solving a problem, providing explanations, generating ideas, or making predictions.

Lastly, determine the "Format" in which you want the response, which could range from a simple list to a detailed narrative or a structured report. This format should align with how you intend to use the information.

Template:

Imagine you are a [Role] with expertise in [Specific Area of Expertise]. Your task is to [Clearly Defined Task]. To ensure clarity and effectiveness in the response, please provide your output in the form of a [Chosen Format], focusing on [Any Specific Details or Parameters to Include]. If applicable, integrate [Relevant Examples, Case Studies, Statistics, or Recent Developments] to enrich the response and offer practical insights.

Example Prompt:

Imagine you are a climate scientist with expertise in sustainable urban planning. Your task is to evaluate the impact of urban sprawl on local ecosystems. To ensure clarity and effectiveness in the response, please provide your output in the form of a detailed report, focusing on the correlation between urban expansion and biodiversity loss. If applicable, integrate relevant case studies, recent statistical findings, and examples of successful urban planning initiatives that have minimized environmental impacts to enrich the response and offer practical insights.

RISEN (Role-Instructions-Steps-End Goal-Narrowing) Framework:

This framework is ideal for scenarios where a complex process needs to be explained, a project plan is to be developed, or detailed instructions are required.

Begin by defining the "Role" to establish the expertise or perspective needed for the task.

Then, provide "Instructions" that clearly state the initial steps or considerations.

"Steps" should outline the detailed actions needed to progress toward the goal.

The "End Goal" clarifies the final objective or what success looks like. Lastly,

"Narrowing" focuses the response on particular details, constraints, or aspects to ensure relevance and manageability.

Template:

As a [Role], you are instructed to [Initial Instructions]. What are the step-by-step actions you would take to [Describe the Process or Task]? Ensure the steps are detailed and guide us to the [End Goal]. Specifically focus on [Narrowing Factors] to provide insights relevant to [Specific Context, Constraints, or Details].

Example Prompt:

As a project manager, you are instructed to initiate a new software development project aimed at creating an eco-friendly ride-sharing application. What are the step-by-step actions you would take to design, develop, and deploy this application? Ensure the steps are detailed and guide us to the successful launch of a user-friendly and environmentally sustainable app. Specifically focus on integrating green technology solutions and addressing potential regulatory challenges to provide insights relevant to urban markets with stringent environmental regulations.

The R-I-S-E-N framework template helps in crafting prompts that demand a structured, sequential, and context-focused response.

It encourages the LLM to think through a project or problem-solving process from initiation to completion, emphasizing actionable steps and detailed planning.

By requiring the LLM to focus on specific narrowing factors, the responses become more tailored and practically useful, especially in complex or specialized fields.

RODES Framework:

Begin by specifying the "Role" that the LLM will assume, which sets the perspective and level of expertise for the response.

Define a clear "Objective" for what the task or inquiry is aiming to achieve.

"Details" should be requested to ensure that the response is thorough and considers all necessary aspects of the problem or topic.

"Examples" are crucial for illustrating the practical application of the information provided and should be closely related to the objective.

Finally, a "Sense Check" is incorporated to assess the practicality, feasibility, or accuracy of the suggestions or conclusions made.

Template:

Assume you are a [Role] with a focus on [Area of Expertise]. The objective is to [Clearly Defined Objective]. Could you provide a detailed explanation on how to achieve this, including [Specific Details to be Addressed]? Include practical examples that demonstrate [Relevant Examples] and conduct a sense check to evaluate [Potential Challenges or Realistic Outcomes].

Example Prompt:

Assume you are an urban planner with a focus on reducing traffic congestion in major cities. The objective is to develop a comprehensive strategy that integrates public transportation improvements and smart city technologies. Could you provide a detailed explanation on how to achieve this, including planning processes, stakeholder engagement, and technology integration? Include practical examples that demonstrate successful implementations in other cities and conduct a sense check to evaluate the feasibility of these strategies in cities with varying budgets and infrastructural constraints.

This RODES framework template ensures that prompts are constructed to maximize the depth and practical value of the responses from LLMs.

It encourages a structured approach to problem-solving or strategy development, integrating real-world applicability and a critical evaluation of the proposed solutions.

This template is especially useful in fields where precision, practical examples, and feasibility assessments are crucial for effective decision-making.

Why are most email courses so bad?

Things we can all agree on:

  1. Email is cool now

  2. Teaching is a great way to sell

  3. Lead magnets get leads

An email course should be an exceptional lead magnet, but thereโ€™s a big difference between getting leads and converting them.

Top creators have used this course to create lead magnets, standalone products, agency work, and more.

3. How to be Productive at Work ๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ

Work Distribution Within an Organization. Image Credit: Asana

I recently read an Asana article on how to be organized at work.

They discussed the difference between work that makes you feel productive (busy work) and objectively productive work.

Itโ€™s a balance between the two.

One might make you feel good (checking off a to-do list), and the other might help you grow your career, team, and company.

How do we tackle this fine balance?

First, identify your most important work - your companyโ€™s strategic plan and organization-wide OKRs.

Every taskโ€”no matter how smallโ€”should lead back to those larger, overarching goals.

Connecting your individual tasks to broader goals gives you the context to get your most important work done.

Next, youโ€™ll want to find and aggressively do the work that overlaps feeling productive and being objectively productive.

When your work adds value to larger company initiatives, you have the context to set priorities.

I hope that this gives you a new perspective on balanced productivity at work!

That's all, folks - see you next Wednesday!
