What’s one thing that takes 10s to write that will give you 89k views?

LinkedIn comments.

Underrated pieces of text.

Last week, I checked my LinkedIn analytics.

A comment I made on someone else's post went BONKERS.

It hit astronomical highs.

89,718 impressions.

More than ANY post I'd published that week.

What I wrote:

"What was your initial response? The hook was great, but was wondering if you seriously considered the offer."

That's it.

Just one curious question.

No "great post!" empty flattery.

It just took maybe… 10 seconds?

I don’t even remember typing it.

Must have been on the commute to my 9-5 job… lol.

Why the comment went viral

3 reasons.

  1. The post was going massively viral - it was gaining views exponentially due to its abrasive nature.

  2. The author replied to my comment.

  3. The comment asked a question about the elephant in the room - did it work for him???

Why coaches/consultants/solopreneurs should capitalise on comments

We grind out content.
Spend hours on hooks.
Rewrite posts to perfection.

Meanwhile, the algorithm is already showing us someone else's content — a warm, engaged audience.

AND WE IGNORE IT?!

And there's an empty comment box sitting right there.

Right under our noses.

Do we do anything about it?
No…

Let’s not do that anymore.

Comments are our chance to add something real and let the right people discover you.

Comments aren't just engagement.

Let’s make it a part of our distribution strategy.

PS - Many thanks to the 37 waitlisters who signed up early to join my course and have given me feedback. It has been invaluable! I’ve already begun filming the first 2 videos, and it has been so fun.

If you haven’t signed up, too bad. It’s now closed. I’m closing it because I’m focusing on waitlisters who are serious and want to focus my attention on the course.

Stay tuned for the launch!
