I got a LinkedIn DM last week that made me embarrassed.
But smile at the same time.
It said:

"Hey Justin! I got your Claude Skills for Consultants, and just received an email to book a strategy call with you. But the link wasn't working. How can I book it?"
Let me break down what happened here.
A consultant downloaded my lead magnet.
Got nurtured through my email sequence.
Wanted to book a call.
A solid 10/10 lead pipeline.
It worked the way I wanted it to.
Except one teeny bit - I had a broken booking link in my emails.
(I had just updated my welcome email sequence)
They wanted to chat with me (potentially money down the road).
But I almost made it impossible.
I’ve since repented and fixed the link…
But here’s why building a lead generation system works for consultants.
What this mistake taught me about systems
This DM came in because of one thing.
My entire lead generation system.
Only when that link broke did they come looking for me.
I realised - WOW!
My system is working!
The lead magnet created trust.
The email sequence kept me top of mind.
The DM was the result!
I fixed the link within minutes of seeing that message.
Then I sent them the booking link directly.
No shame now - at least I know my system works.
