To best help you understand this concept, let’s reference one of nature’s best compounding systems - the bamboo tree.
Here’s the bamboo tree’s life cycle:
In the first 5 years of its life, the bamboo tree spends significant resources building an extensive root network.
Digging deep
Reinvesting in itself
Building the right foundations
Amateurs look at it and say it’s futile, not knowing the massive growth happening beneath the ground.
And so the tree continues to grow and grow.
Until it hits the 5-year mark and something magical happens.
The bamboo tree shoots up to almost 90ft (27m) high in just 6 weeks!
And people see that and say WOW - it’s an overnight success!
But they did not see the amount of effort invested in it.
And the years spent developing its extensive root network.
What did the farmer invest in the bamboo tree?
Air
Soil
Water
Sunlight
And most importantly, time!
So what’s the lesson here?
These wonderful bamboo trees are much like building a compounding AI system for your solo business.
You water it, you feed it, you give it plenty of time.
Likewise…
The Solopreneur is like the farmer.
The ChatGPT project is like the tree.
The ChatGPT memory is like the air, water, soil, and sunlight the farmer gives it.
But the magic ingredient both systems share is time.
